One morning on our summer vacation in America, Mr. B and I visited the most wonderful little local food market. The miles that the produce had traveled to the stand was marked next to each fresh fruit and vegetable. We got some lovely marachino cherries, and ate them on a beach between laying in the sun and swimming in the lake. I will always remember the day as the perfect summer day with my best friend.
Sounds like you really had a fab time on your vacation! :) Love your photos from the market.

I've got a raspberry glut right now and I wish I had some of those little wooden boxes to store them in! Great pictures.

Hi, ladies! Thanks for the lovely greetings! (You'll see a wooden box like that in my food photographs in the future for sure. I took the box my cherries were in with me home. I love it!)

Love the bright colors - gorgeous photos. The mileage notation on the produce signs is such a clever touch, too.
