The first day of July and the first day of my vacation. The bags are all packed - I'm ready to go! We'll be spending time with family and friends in the US, so I'll be on a light blogging schedule for the next few weeks. We are planning to have a barbecue for the 4th of July, and to explore some local farmer's markets and restaurants. Maybe we'll make a quick foodie day trip to Chicago. Please, let me know if you have tips for good restaurants and food markets in the windy city! I can't wait to cook with all the fresh produce in season there, and I will definitely share some of it with you here. Have a lovely week! I'll see you soon!

{ summer vacation }
Enjoy your trip! What a lovely blog! I'm glad I found you. I lived in Chicago for a year, but I was a poor law student. I never ate good food. If I went there again (which I hope to do someday), I'd go to Frontera Grill-- Rick Bayless' restaurant. Sounds delish! If you end up going, I want to hear all about it!
