The weather report is promising us a cold and snowy weekend. I know many of you are living in a much warmer climate (I do envy you sometimes), but this year many places that don't usually get snow have been able to enjoy a white winter. I enjoy seasons in the nature (and also in my cooking), although it is sometimes hard to remember it when looking at the thermometer. Have you had more snow than usual? We are having tons! (And would be happy give some to Vancouver if we could.)
This weekend, I think we'll put many layers of warm clothes on, go for a walk on the frozen lake and drink some hot chocolate. After all, these are probably the last weekends to enjoy the winter weather, and it'll be spring before we even know it. So, friends with or without snow, enjoy the season and have a wonderful weekend! I'll see you again next week!
{ psst. you can find my photographs also on flickr and twitpic }
February 14th is a bit more than a week away, so this weekend is the perfect time for Valentine's craft projects. These free downloads make diy gifts and decoration quick and simple. You can find the links to these lovely projects on the bottom of this post. Surprise your sweetie or friends with these heartfelt little things. Have a fun weekend!
When I look outside, it's all snow, snow and snow, but my thoughts are already moving to spring. The first change I make for spring, is bringing more pastels back. Anthropologie has beautiful kitchen items in all shades of pastel colors. So fresh for the upcoming change of season! Even though spring is not here yet, it's coming. I can feel it.
I simply love Eva Juliet's work. Everything she creates, I could see in my home, like these pretty kitchen themed prints. Now, Eva has designed the sweetest Valentine's Day card with nicknames for your loved one.
The nature has looked incredible for the last few days here. The phenomenon that has frosted everything is called frozen mist, and it has really created a true wonderland look. Everything is white. On a walk in the frosted city, I went to get warm cinnamon buns from the near-by bakery with my sweetie.
Two Brunettes is a design and illustration studio with an inspiring blog and an Etsy store full of things I absolutely need. Like this canvas calendar.
